Placed in the south east area of Kefalonia island, Skala is a tourist village full of charm and appeal that every summer attracts a large number of tourists.
Until few years ago Skala was known in Kefalonia as a simple village of fishermen and farmers, but due to its fantastic position has become a beautiful tourist center.
During recent years in Skala village grew up many new buildings for the tourists, but the amazing natural setting has not been damaged.

In the village there are the ruins of an ancient Roman villa from the third century where you can still admire the original mosaics.

BEACH

The beach of Skala is really wonderful! It’s quite wide a longer than 3 kilometers, where you can fins both fine sand and small pebbles parts.
As in the tourist village of Skala the beach is so long, it give the opportunity to have a part equipped with deckchairs and umbrellas and a big part left free and wild. Here it’s very easy to have your privacy also in high season.
Just above the beach there also an amazing and ancient pine forest where it will be very nice to have a break under the shadow admiring the sea.
